Frequently Asked Questions

How much does therapy cost?

Initial Assessment - $165

Counseling Sessions - $140

Do you take my insurance?

I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Care Network.

If you have insurance and I’m in network, it’s likely your therapy visits will be like going to the doctor. I bill your insurance and you pay your copay at each appointment. I will check benefits before we have our first paid session and let you know if you have any outstanding costs besides a co pay. If you have a deductible, this means you have to pay that amount before your benefits will kick in.

If you have a PPO insurance plan with out of network benefits (Aetna, Cigna, Priority, for example) then you may be eligible to get reimbursement. I use Mentaya for out of network billing. They will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork for a 5% fee.

Do you see people in person?

Yes! As of April 2024 I am now offering in person appointments every Thursday at 20300 Superior Rd, Suite 160, Taylor, MI 48180.

Do you work with kids?

I primarily work with adults but I will see teenagers (14+) with anxiety, past trauma, grief, and low self esteem.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can book online here or email me with your questions and availability. I work on Mondays and Tuesdays virtually and Thursdays in person. Appointment availability ranges from early afternoon to evening depending on the day. I do not work weekends.

What can I expect in the first appointment?

I will send you a link to my practice portal where you can complete all the required documents before we meet. This includes my practice policies, symptom checklists, and questions about your background. The first session is an hour long and we will discuss your concerns, the history of these problems, and what you hope to get out of therapy in the long run.
